The Comfort in Being Forgotten

We are all memory that will fade away.
There will come a time when the world, in all it's glory, will meet it's end.
And the human race will end along with it.
The rest of the universe will barley notice our leaving.
It will be like a spark from a great flame.
Galaxies will never even know we existed.
Our great story will come to be just that - a story.
But one day, there will be no one to tell it.
And I think the universe will smile.
There's a comfort in that, too.

  1. A humbling, well-said truth: "The rest of the universe will barley notice our leaving.
It will be like a spark from a great flame." What a beautiful painting.
